got this product for a 90 year old lady with bad knees, etc. She says it really helps her get up easier with much less strain on her joints. its' very portable so she carries it with her. We like it.

My husband broke his arm and couldn't get out of his chair without help. I bought this product for him and it honestly changed his life. Instead of having to ask me to help him stand up, he could get up and sit down by himself. It gave him a measure of freedom that he desperately needed when he really wasn't feeling well.

Now I can't get it away from him.

It does what is supposed to do. My 92 year old mom is able to get up unassisted which she was not able to do previously. A plus is that it is portable.

One of my patients is not able to get out of a chair without assistance. His wife now has problems with her shoulder and is not able to help him out of chairs. After telling me their situation, I ordered this product for them. They LOVE it. Jack is now able to get up and down without assistance and without any struggles. The only thing that he says could be considered a problem is that if he bends over to tie his shoes the lift assumes that he is trying to get up and "boosts" him out of the chair. He figures out that the way around that is to lift out of his chair, sit in his wheelchair and then bend over to tie his shoes. Jack's only complaint is that he didn't discover this product years ago!!

We use this cushion in our waiting room. Several patients have mentioned how much easier it was to get up and many have asked where they can buy one.

this is a perfect item for those who have trouble getting up from any kind of chair. if you have a bad back or bad knees, this item is a godsend.

This device is well made and assists my wife significantly in arising from a chair. It is light enough to take out to dinner, so it allows her to go places where it would be difficult to use the chair.

I bought this before I heard Amazon has been asked many times
to stop selling Animal Fighting information, books and magazines
to people that abuse animals. I guess Michael Vick is their best
customer. I have heard that Amazon has a law suit in the courts
but still refuse to stop selling this information. Animal fighting
is against the law so why are they selling this???? What's next child
porn?
Shame on Amazon - Sorry I bought this through them it won't happen again.

If you have a pet
and love animals don't buy from them and spread the word.

I purchased this for my mom, who is 80 and barely walks due to parkinsons and an old broken back. It is fine for boosting her out of the chair, and sitting more gently. It is not terribly comfortable to sit on, and I am nervous about it throwing her off balance. You have to sit on it very upright, which can be a problem.

This item helps me rise from a seated position and I am thankful for it. I can take it to friends' homes, plan to take it to the movies, restaurants and anywhere in my home. I just wish it was not blue. I'd rather have a black cover and a carrying case.

I got one of these things for my 84 year old mother a few months ago. She was a little intimidated by it at first, but then one day started singing it's praises. So now I'm getting another one for my father (who weighs enough more that they can't share the same cushion). It's not the most comfortable chair in the world, and is too high to use at the dinner table, but it gives them some measure of independence.

Helpful in a stable situation, which is a living room lounge chair. It takes some getting used to, and deserves a "test drive" during the warranty period. It's a keeper for me~!

BOUGHT THIS FOR MY MOTHER AFTER HER KNEE SURGERY. IT HAS HELPED HER AT THE HAIR DRESSER, AT THE DINNER TABLE, AND GETTING UP OFF OF A COUCH. SHE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

I bought this product for my mom. It did help her tremendously with sitting and standing.
However, it was too uncomfortable for her to sit on so I ended up returning it.
Also, it does not work well on sofas. It needs a very solid firm surface in order to work properly. If used on a soft sofa, it wobbles and tilts and could be a bit dangerous for her.

This item needs the seat to be a bit broader and it needs better padding. It works after you fuss with it a bit, but now my mother doesn't want to use it because she has an old tailbone fracture that got re injured after a fall and it hurts her too badly to use it much. I know the price is good, though.
The other person who wrote that she hated it, was right as far as the comfort - or really seriously MISSING comfort - goes. It does what it is supposed to but it is as if the creators only intended it to be used once in a while. This sort of thing would be something people would sit on for a long time. The manufacturer needs to fix this as I consider the discomfort a manufacturing defect.

This item is totally uncomfortable to sit on and makes your back ache horribly. Also it does not work well at all. If you have difficulty rising from a seated positon this item will not help in the least. Many times it stays flat and when it does "rise" it only occurs after you push up yourself with your arms and legs. I would have returned the item, but I left it for my mother when I had to be out of town for a few weeks and by the time I returned my 30 day window was closed. DO NOT BUY, you will regret it if you do. I won't even put this item in a yard sale, because I would not subject anyone to false hope and a back ache to go along with it.
