The chair requires assembly but it is very easy to assemble. The chair is very practical and sturdy. It is wide so it fits almost everybody. With suction cups at the end of the legs, which are easily adjustable, you have no fear while using chair. Although this is a chair for those who have reduced mobility, it is also practical as a spa chair. It can also be used in cases of a leg injury. I love it! But I got it for my wife who needs it to be seated when showering. I strongly recommend this chair because it can be adjusted to fit your frame to a "T!" It is a buy that I am so happy to have purchased. We have been using it now for almost a month now but I can see it lasting a lifetime! The chair was very easy to assemple. It is perfect for our shower and the feet do not slip on the floor. The seat is wide enough for a "plus size tush" and the grips on the side make it easy to get up. You can't go wrong with this for the money.

I already own a shower chair from the same company. The chair is easy to asssemble and is very light. The chair I just purchased has knobs on the screws so all you have to do is to turn them to tighten the screws. There's no need for a screwdriver.

I am a 43 year old woman who weighs 175 pounds (5'9) who had foot surgery 2 weeks ago. I purchased this chair before the surgery - it arrived very quickly! It was very easy to put together - no tools required. I recommend getting a chair with a back - makes a world of difference. I also recommend that you measure the space you plan on using it in. I have a stand up shower but I'm not sure it would fit in a standard size tub. This chair is very sturdy and works great! I am very please with my purchase. Highly recommend.

A sturdy, practical chair at a fair price. Online info should state that it has a plastic seat and back with metal legs and has a removable back which can be helpful to reduce front to back dimension for small showers. Size also needs to be mentioned, which is 12" by 20" seat, maximum seat height 14" and light weight for ease of movement.

I bought this chair (on sale I believe) when I broke my ankle and needed a way to shower without standing. It fit into our undersized bath tub. The only complaint is that in spite of the textured seat it was still a little slippery, otherwise it worked fine and I will continue to use it after I heal. It is very sturdy.

Works great, strong and just what one needs when laid up with a broken leg. Recommend a cast bag.... not just any plastic bag will keep the water out, unless you choose to tape your leg up, each & every time bathing?

I never had a shower chair before so I have nothing to compare this to. This chair was easy to assemble. It's fairly lightweight. It holds me, but it feels a little wobbly and I don't feel like it's a sturdy chair, but I guess you get what you pay for. I don't understand how review after review on here talks about this chair's sturdiness. I would not characterize this chair as sturdy at all and, in fact, it's wobbly. This chair definitely would NOT be suitable for the larger patient. It would not be strong enough, and I feel it would be a safety issue.

When doing the inventory of parts on the instructions, the unit was missing 1 nut and washer. Without the nut it cannot be assembled. Luckily I had a nut in my garage that worked, but isn't exactly the same and I made do without the missing curved washer. Getting the parts would have been more trouble than the price of the unit. For the insignificant cost of a nut and washer they should include additional so that if they loose one during assembling the package there would be another available.

Also, this is a bath chair not a shower chair. The legs are angled to work best in a bath tub, but since the rubber feet are flexible the chair also works in the shower. Those that want a specific chair for the shower and are concerned about the stability because of how this chair is designed for a bath tub might want to look at a different model.

After assembly unit is sturdy and works to function.

I purchased this chair for the shower. IT IS NOT FOR THE SHOWER, ONLY FOR THE BATH! The chair's legs are not balanced for the shower, and are uneven to accommodate a bath. The chair also comes unassembled, and assembly is difficult and awkward. Do not buy this chair.
