This shower stool fits very well in the tub and is safe. The larger stools don't fit easily and can tip if not properly settled. It is sturdy and seems to be very well made. It is used daily so does get a workout!

I was originally looking for a shower stool that would help me because I have a condition that makes it very difficult for me to stand for long periods of time, especially in hot enviroments. I am 31 years old and I need some help standing in the shower since I feel sick.
I was concerned because I have a very small, narrow bathtub and I was worried that a stool wouldn't fit--they might be too wide, but this one fits perfectly. If you have a small bathroom/bathtub/shower area, this might be ideal for you.Unfortunately, it does not fold up but if you are concerned about space you can always stow it away in its lowest form (lowest notches). It does get pretty small.
It is a little wobbly, but VERY sturdy. The legs are supported at the bottom with heavy duty and pliable rubber which creates a very safe feeling while sitting on it. The seating area is round and fits my hefty-sized bottom (I'm 5'2" and about 150 llbs). I was looking at many, many shower stools and I originally wanted the rectangular seated one, but I was afraid it wouldn't fit in the tub. I'm very glad that I made this choice.
I LOVE how you can adjust the height. This stool raises higher than most shower stools and this is important for me since I have trouble standing back up once in a seated position.
I have had this product for about a month now and I have not noticed any rusting or degeneration of any kind. Despite the fact that the description states that the seat will not rust, I generally give the stool a very quick wipedown with a towel after I come out of the shower just so that it doesn't get moldy or rusty (just in case).
All in all, this is a wonderful product and I don't feel helpless anymore.

This is a nice little bath stool if you aren't much over 200 lb. If you are close to 200 lb or over consider buying something more sturdy but for individuals 200 lbs and under this is good enough. I like it because it is light weight and has small foot print. I needed something small because my shower is limited for space and it fits nicely in small bathtubs. Of course the adjustable legs are nice. So if you aren't too heavy buy this stool!

Wonderful product for those who need a "little lift" in the tub. Most stools are too high for sitting in tub. Draw back is that it is just a little too wide for older tubs and must be turned long ways to use. About an inch narrower would be great. Still it is the best I have found.

We needed an adjustable stool to put in the doorway of our small guest shower, so that we could sit to give our baby a bath. This suited us perfectly. I wish it could go a few notches lower (which is why I didn't give it 5 stars), but it works for what we needed, and I'm certain it will come in handy for many more years.
On a sort-of-related-funny-note, I was amused at Amazon's "Customers who bought this also bought..." suggestions, which included, among other items useful for elderly folks, the entire DVD library of the Golden Girls!
