Etac Edge Shower Chair
Reviews of Etac Edge Shower Chair
1.) well-built and usable

Bought this stool for temporary personal use after a recent knee surgery. Contrary to my expectation it is not intended to fit in the corner of the shower (even if it will, sort-of); rather, it worked better for me to place it with a side parallel and adjacent to the shower wall, and sit straddling the third leg. Such sitting position is surprisingly comfortable, does not stress my knee, and falls right under the water stream. The stool fits well in my 34x34-inch shower stall with appropriate clearance where needed to move around a bit. It is built in heavy plastic and aluminum, so I suppose it is not going to rust. Each leg adjusts independently over a fairly wide range. This looks like a good value purchase at least in my case.
2.) Shower Stool

After breaking my heel, I was in need of supporting myself while using the shower. I found the Etac shower stool to be a great help for my cause. I can either kneel or sit on it. Its size works very well in my shower stall. The legs do not protrude at the base as those on other brands. I am using one of the other brands in my kitchen and have tripped with my crutches over the legs. It is very stable. I would recommend this to anyone in need of supporting themselves in or out of the shower.
I wish that their Handy Grab Bars where available in the States.
3.) Triangular shower stool

This shower stool is very well made, but it is somewhat odd. It does not fit in the corner of the shower. It is too big for that and the seat angles are too sharp - like a revolutionary hat. You can not sit on its edge; instead your legs straddle a corner. It can also be very tall - I keep it set at its lowest leg extension and wonder who would want it so high.
If I were to rate this stool only on materials, construction, ruggedness, and (light) weight, I would give it 5 stars. But it seems to have been built to meet European health standards (or something like that) and not American tastes. I just wanted a stool to tuck into the corner of my shower and serve as a tiny bench. This ain't it. It has no right angle. The seat is contoured, not flat. It is surprisingly big. It takes up too much space in a standard shower stall.

4.) Does not fit in corner

This item is an equilateral triangle, not a right triangle, and thus does not fit in the corner. It sticks out from the wall of the shower as much as much larger rectangular shower seats. You have to sit straddling the point of the triangle.
