Maybe I just didn't know what teak smelled like, but I do not like the smell. Otherwise, it's a great stool for my shower.

I received the corner shower chair and assembled the legs according to where the chinese manufacturer drilled the starter holes. I use the chair in the corner of the shower as a table for shampoo and the like. I also use it to place a foot on the edge for better reach. The two outside legs are placed too far in from the corners and cause the stool to rock. If I used it to sit on it would be very unstable. I guess I could move the legs and solve the problem. I just think that the chinese ought to use the product them selves before passing it along to the Americans. On the other hand, I do like the materials it's made from. Teak and Aluminum. My previous stool was Teak and Steel pipe. The steel rotted away and made a mess of everything in the shower.

I was very pleased with the look and feel of the product. However, the stool was not very stable and the wood cracked after only a few uses. (I am not a heavy person, standing 5'9" and weighing about 170lbs.) I was very disapointed as it looked very nice and seemed as if it was going to be sturdy.

Do not buy this stool. It is totally unstable and if you sit on near the edge it will tip over. The legs are not properly positioned.
