1.) A shower bench that is a great gift.

This product was demonstrated to me at a nursing home as a great way for elderly or other disabled persons (especially after surgery) to enter a bath tub without worrying about lifting the leg too high and losing balance. I found the identical unit here at Amazon, and was thrilled that it was well made of plastic bench and back, sturdy aluminum supports, and has rubber feet that won't scratch the floor or tub or slip. The bench has drain holes in it to lessen puddling. It is inexpensive (about $70) with free shipping.
It comes unassembled, so putting it together does take some time, but not too bad. Basically screws washers and nuts. The handle can mount as shown in the picture, or also mount next to the chair back if you arrange the parts correctly (the mounting holes for the handle are pre-drilled on one pair of legs, but not on the other).
The recipient love it and feels safe using it.

It was easy to assemble and is very adjustable to the height you need. I am an above-the-knee amputee. This was just what I needed to help me bathe when I got home from the hospital. I can transfer from the wheelchair to the shower bench with no problems whatsoever. It really helps in allowing for more privacy as I am the type of person who likes to do for herself.

The bench arrived on time and although I have neuropathy in my hands I didn't have any problems putting it together. Even with shipping it was cheaper then a comparable product that I could have obtained locally. The quality is superior to the bench I replaced. Thank you.

5.) Makes a big difference for me

This is so easy to use - makes it easy and safe for me to shower. It was a little tricky to put together. My son did it for me, but got the chair in the wrong place the first time. But it was very easy to fix up. The bench can stay in the shower while a normally-abled person takes a normal shower. Does have to be lifted out for a bath, but that's easy.
6.) EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!

We bought this item for our mother when she was released from the hospital. She is having some major mobility issues and since she lives by herself we are trying all we can to make normal everyday tasks easier for her. Medicare was only going to provide the shower chair that fits in the tub. That didn't work for us because her major problem is actually getting into the shower. So we found this chair and purchased it so she can sit outside the tub and slide herself in. It has been an excellent product for her. I would recommend this for anyone who has elderly to tend to.
7.) Excellent bath transfer chair

This chair was purchased for use by my mom...age 95+. I assembled it in about 1/2 hour. It is light weight enough to be moved easily and yet sturdy enough to hold my 250 Lbs. to weight test it for my mom. The home health care worker who assists mom thought it was from the local medical supply store. It's by all appearances the same, but half the price as the store model....including shipping. All in all a fine purchase...shipping about 5 days during the holiday rush...If you can use a screw driver and follow directions, you will be satisfied with this item.

Needed something like this for elderly father. It's been a good choice. I had to assemble it but it wasn't too hard to figure it out by looking at the picture. No assembly instructions were included for whatever reason. It was a good price and it has been used everyday since in the shower.

Nice bench. Adjusts to about any situation. Take your time and use patience in assembly. The box in which it was shipped was torn and some bolts were loose, but luckily they were contained in the plastic wrapper. I had all the parts. It was made in China.

Purchased this Transfer Bench to assist my wife in entering/exiting the bathtub. Looked around and found lots of similar items available - but at higher prices.... this wasn't the lowest price - but it was about $25 cheaper than the model I was looking at.
As with all items like this - some assembly is required.
This bench is working out well for us.
My only complaint - seems like the hardward package that came along with this was missing one screw. Not a big problem because I was able to purchase one at the local hardware store.
It seems to be fairly stable in the tub and was easy to put together.
